Join us for a conversation with Jeremy DeChario, founder of Syracuse Co-op Market, as part of the Dean's Sustainability Challenge speaker series. This student-led session explores how cooperative business models are tackling real-world sustainability challenges — from local food access to community-driven economic power.


DeChario will share the story behind founding the co-op, the challenges of building a values-driven organization from the ground up, and how cooperative ownership creates lasting impact in the community. Students will hear firsthand how grassroots enterprise connects to the UN Sustainable Development Goals students are working to address this semester.
