Adam Fumarola Joins Whitman as a Professor of Practice and Executive Director of the James D. Kuhn Real Estate Center

Adam Fumarola joins the Department of Finance in the Whitman School of Management in Spring 2024 as a professor of practice and executive director of the James D. Kuhn Real Estate Center. He will teach classes in real estate, including real estate principles and real estate finance and investment, and work to advance the standing of the Center.

 

Prior to joining Syracuse University, Fumarola was, since Aug. 2021, a partner at Hanover Real Estate Development, a multidisciplinary real estate development partnership. Prior to Hanover Real Estate Development, he served as senior associate vice president for real estate services and asset management at Syracuse University from 2017-21, where he created and led a department responsible for the oversight and management of non-academic real estate for the University. Prior to his role at SU, he worked at Raymour & Flanigan Furniture from 2006-17 as senior counsel and then senior director of real estate and development. Fumarola has also served as an adjunct professor at the SU College of Law and the Whitman School of Management since 2012.

 

Fumarola is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Urban Land Institute. He serves on the boards of the Boys and Girls Club of Syracuse and the Jewish Federation of Central New York.

 

Fumarola earned a J.D. cum laude from the University of Buffalo School of Law, where he served as articles editor of the Law Review, and a B.A. in environmental public policy from Binghamton University.
