Whitman Assistant Dean Lindsay Quilty Receives 2025 Chancellor’s Citation

The Whitman School of Management’s Assistant Dean for Undergraduate Programs Lindsay Quilty was honored with the 2025 Chancellor’s Citation Award for Excellence for Outstanding Contributions to the Student Experience and University Initiatives.

Quilty was recognized as an “invaluable asset” to the Whitman School who has significantly enriched the undergraduate experience with leadership and dedication that have led to measurable success, including increased student retention rates and higher program rankings, according to Chancellor Kent Syverud. She was also selected for creating new academic opportunities at the Whitman School and fostering an inclusive environment aligned with the University’s mission.

Joining the Whitman School in 2009 as an undergraduate academic advisor, Quilty has since risen through the ranks into her current position of assistant dean, where she provides strategic leadership and oversight of the Undergraduate Program Office, which encompasses more than 2,200 students, prospective students, faculty and staff. She has led the implementation of undergraduate curriculum updates, academic policies and the heightened direction of an undergraduate recruitment strategy that has resulted in the highest quality incoming classes in the Whitman School’s history. In 2024, she became a peer evaluator for the Middle States Commission on Higher Education and was selected as one of the five representatives of Syracuse University at the ACC Academic Leaders Network.

Quilty is a graduate of the University of Miami with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and criminology and The George Washington University, where she earned a master’s degree in higher education administration.

“We congratulate Lindsay for her unwavering dedication to the success of every undergraduate student at the Whitman School,” says Interim Dean Alex McKelvie. “Lindsay is the face of our amazing undergraduate program. Her outstanding year-after-year achievements, innovations and leadership are essential parts of the Whitman School’s success. Lindsay is truly mission critical to our work and is extremely deserving of this prestigious award.”

The One University Awards Ceremony is a yearly event honoring individuals in the Syracuse University community making a difference through academics, scholarship, creative work and dedicated service. The award was presented to Quilty on April 11 at a ceremony held at Hendrick’s Chapel.
