New Positions and Promotions

In “Budapest to Boca,” Thomas Herskovits ’69, ’94 MBA shares his remarkable life story, which includes a failed post-World War II escape from Hungary, a successful escape during the Hungarian Revolution, immigrating to the United States, earning a B.S. and MBA from Syracuse University, climbing the ranks of corporate America and ultimately establishing an investment company responsible for the creation of several successful entrepreneurial ventures.

Keeping in Touch

Fourty-five years ago, Rob Meyering, Keith Lerner, John Lennon, Gail Workman, Don Raskin and Mark Kendrat from the Whitman MBA class of ’81 met and became fast friends. They had a great time celebrating that friendship and the many stories that followed over a fun reunion at the Naples Florida Grande Resort and the LaPlaya Bayleen Restaurant with their spouses.

Frank Ryan 

Frank Ryan IV ’90, L’94 is one of three newly elected members of the Syracuse University Board of Trustees. Ryan is global co-chair, global co-CEO and Americas chair at DLA Piper, a global law firm with more than $4 billion in revenues and offices in more than 40 countries. Known as a go-to strategist for some of the world’s most sophisticated media and sports companies, including Disney, ABC, the Pac-12 and ESPN, Ryan helped lead the firm through a period of unprecedented growth. He is also founding chair of the firm’s scholarship programs established to assist student athletes and veterans wishing to pursue a legal career. Ryan earned a B.S. in finance at Whitman in 1990 while competing on the Syracuse University Wrestling Team before going on to earn his J.D. in 1994.
