Defense Comptrollership Program Celebrates 32 Graduates for 2026

The Defense Comptrollership Program (DCP) at Syracuse University celebrated the graduation of its Class of 2026 on Friday, July 24, at Hendricks Chapel. Thirty-two graduates earned dual degrees: a Master of Business Administration from the Martin J. Whitman School of Management and an Executive Master of Public Administration from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs.

Founded in 1952, the DCP prepares military and civilian financial leaders from across the U.S. Department of Defense through an intensive graduate education in business, public administration and defense resource management. Since expanding to serve Service members and Veterans of all branches of the armed services and defense agencies , the program has continued to develop leaders responsible for managing complex financial and organizational challenges across the defense enterprise.

The commencement celebration followed the program's annual awards and Beta Gamma Sigma induction ceremony, held Thursday, July 23. Six members of the Class of 2026 were inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma, the international business honor society: Raleigh Audette, Jennifer Berry, Joonki Hong, Morgan Hood, Jared Michael McClish and Xiaobin Wu.

During the awards ceremony, Robert Unger, director of resources and analysis for U.S. Central Command, received the James F. McCall Award. Bruce Miller, Army Auditor General and the Director of the U.S. Army Audit Agency, received the Leonard F. Keenan Memorial Award. Nickkole Daniels received the David Laychak/Rhonda Rasmussen Award, selected by the graduating class to recognize the individual who best exemplifies the spirit of the class. Xiaobin Wu received the LTC Thomas P. Belkofer Award, recognizing the program's highest-ranked student, with a perfect 4.0 grade point average.
