Whitman Expands Engagement Boards to Strengthen Alumni and Industry Ties

The Martin J. Whitman School of Management is expanding opportunities for alumni, corporate partners, parents and friends to engage with the school through its Engagement Boards. Over the past year, Whitman has launched new boards and reimagined existing ones across several academic departments, creating new pathways for volunteers to share their expertise, strengthen academic programs and help prepare students for successful careers. 

The expansion supports Whitman's Transformation 2030 strategy, which calls for deeper partnerships between students, alumni and industry. By connecting departments with experienced professionals across a wide range of industries, the boards help ensure Whitman students graduate with the knowledge, perspectives and professional connections needed to thrive in a rapidly evolving business landscape. 

Each Engagement Board brings together leaders representing established and emerging organizations, diverse career paths and a broad range of business expertise. Members support their departments by sharing industry insights, strengthening alumni engagement and helping connect students to real-world opportunities both inside and outside the classroom.

Franklin Supply Chain Advisory Board 

An established board that recently welcomed several new members, bringing fresh industry perspectives to the Whitman Supply Chain program. 

Management Department Engagement Board 

Reimagined this year with an expanded roster of alumni and corporate partners supporting the Management Department. 

Marketing Management Engagement Board

A new board formed this year to connect alumni and industry leaders with the Marketing Management program. 

Retail Management Engagement Board 

Reimagined this year with a broader group of retail industry alumni and partners. 

Real Estate Engagement Board 

A reimagined board of real estate industry leaders who bring a wide range of experiences from banking to brokerage to development that will help advance the goals of the program. 

Accounting Department Engagement Board 

An established board with an active membership of volunteer leaders committed to enhancing the educational experience and supporting placement and career success. 

Entrepreneurship and Emerging Enterprises Department Engagement Board 

A new board of entrepreneurs and business leaders launched this year to enrich the program and support student innovators.
