Carlos E. Roldan, originally from Quito, Ecuador, brings a diverse and global perspective to his role as MBA and M.S. global career advisor at Syracuse University’s Whitman School of Management. He transitioned from the hospitality industry to higher education in February 2018 and earned his MBA from SUNY Oswego in May 2025, with a focus on finance and data analytics. His professional journey includes experiences in the Galapagos Islands, the Amazon Rainforest, and across the United States, including Jackson Hole, Wyoming.


With a background in hospitality, property management and government, Carlos has developed a versatile skill set that informs his work in higher education. Before joining Whitman, he supported students at Onondaga Community College with career planning and university transfers. At Whitman, he leverages his multifaceted experience and AI-driven strategies to help students secure internships and job opportunities aligned with their career goals.


Outside of work, Carlos enjoys playing soccer, salsa dancing, hiking, and mountain biking. He also has a passion for cooking Spanish dishes and spending time outdoors.
