Frederick Vona is a professor of practice, teaching our next wave of executives, graduate, and undergraduate students combining business and information technology experience.
His teaching experience includes nearly 12 years teaching in the MBA at Syracuse online program, leading a core requirement in information technology and business.
An educator, who brings outside experience into the classroom helping students formulate a sound approach to Business and IT strategy as it pertains to corporate strategy. A reputation for empowering students through group and individual learning.
Former Oracle America IT Executive delivering complex technology operations and support for some of the largest global organizations. (JP Morgan, Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Fidelity, Citigroup, Bank of New York, Travelers, MetLife)
Prior to earning his MBA at Syracuse University, Whitman School of Management, Professor Vona worked 23 years for Oracle Corporation in Boston, as a senior director leading a North America Customer Success Organization for the Financial and Insurance Industries.
While at Oracle, Professor Vona also held executive positions in product development and advanced customer services.
He earned his B.S. in secondary education with majors in industrial technology and history from Fitchburg State University (Ma.), M.A. in sports management from The Ohio State University, a certificate in Executive Program Strategy and Management from the Sloan School of Management at M.I.T. Professor Vona is currently enrolled in the EMPA Program at the Maxwell School.
