MaryAnn Pointek Monforte is a driven and accomplished professional with a diverse background in accounting, finance, technology sales, and entrepreneurship. She has demonstrated leadership across multiple industries, excelling in academic, corporate, and entrepreneurial environments.
Academic Career:
MaryAnn Monforte has been a Professor of Accounting Practice at the Whitman School of Management, Syracuse University, since 2007. She designs and teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in financial and intermediate accounting. Her involvement extends to mentoring honors students, judging entrepreneurial competitions, and advising professional business fraternities.
Entrepreneurship:
Since 2012, she has co-owned and managed Cazenovia Jewelry alongside her husband, overseeing marketing, social media, vendor relations, and product development.
Corporate Experience:
I have held leadership and consulting roles across technology and financial services, including positions at Sungard Corporation, I-many, BigMachines, Niku Corporation, Aegon Financial Services, and QAD Inc. My expertise spans business development, presales consulting, account management, and strategic planning. I started my career at PriceWaterhouse Coopers (PwC) and moved to corporate finance roles ?in the leasing industry.
