David Park is an Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship and an IES Faculty Fellow at the Whitman School of Management, Syracuse University. His research sits at the intersection of entrepreneurship, strategy, and organizational studies, examining how for profit firms, nonprofits, and social enterprises mobilize resources to start, grow, and sustain over time. His work has been published in leading journals including Strategic Management Journal, Journal of Business Venturing, and Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal.

Park has been recognized by Poets&Quants as one of the World’s Best 40 Under 40 MBA Professors and one of the Top 50 Undergraduate Business Professors. He was also named the SBA’s Instructor of the Year. Outside the classroom, he advises ventures and mentors entrepreneurs. Before earning his Ph.D. from the University of Washington, he co founded a high tech startup and served as a Marine Corps officer (Captain, Ret.).

Professor Park teaches entrepreneurship and strategic management at the undergraduate and MBA levels. At Whitman, he has been teaching Introduction to Entrepreneurship, Strategic and Entrepreneurial Management, Opportunity Recognition, and Ideation.
