Detailed Application Requirements
Academic Background and Transcripts
All applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited institution. A cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher is generally recommended. As part of our holistic review, applicants with a GPA below 3.0 may still be considered based on graduate coursework, professional experience and progression, leadership, quantitative readiness, military experience and other evidence of academic or professional achievement.
Upload unofficial transcripts from each postsecondary institution attended. If you are admitted, Syracuse University will provide instructions for submitting official academic records before enrollment.

Professional Experience
MBA applicants are generally expected to have at least 18 months of full-time professional work experience by the time they begin the program. Work experience is not required for admission to Whitman’s online M.S. programs, although relevant experience may strengthen an application.
Test Scores
GMAT and GRE scores are optional for all Whitman online MBA and M.S. programs. Applicants who do not submit scores will receive full consideration for admission. You may submit a score if you believe it provides additional evidence of your academic readiness.

Letters of Recommendation
Two letters of recommendation are required. We recommend choosing professional references who can speak to your accomplishments, leadership, readiness for graduate study and potential for continued growth. At least one recommendation from a current or former supervisor is preferred when possible.
Resume or CV
Submit a current resume or CV that includes employer names, position titles, dates of employment and key responsibilities or accomplishments. Indicate whether each position was full-time or part-time.
