Flaum Grand Hall
The Whitman Day marquee event is our Whitman Day IMPACT Speaker and Breakfast Reception in Flaum Grand Hall. Join us for this community breakfast and networking reception, followed by a special Whitman Day edition of the IMPACT speaker series featuring Chancellor-Elect and Executive Dean of the Whitman School J. Michael Haynie. During this fireside chat, Chancellor-Elect Haynie will share his story and insights from over two decades of leadership at Syracuse University, which includes his time teaching entrepreneurship, leading the Institute for Veterans and Military Families, navigating Whitman and campus communities through the Covid-19 pandemic, and serving as vice chancellor for strategic initiatives and innovation. Join us to hear his insights and advice on leadership.

Virtual Dean's Update

On Whitman Day alumni, parents, faculty, staff and friends are invited to join Interim Dean Alex McKelvie virtually for our bi-annual Dean’s Update. The virtual event features an update on the Whitman School and our Transformation 2030 strategic plan from Interim Dean, Alex McKelvie and Assistant Dean of Advancement and External Engagement, Michael Paulus. Leadership will share strategic plan progress as well as ways the community can continue to engage as we aim to transform Whitman into a top-25 undergraduate business school by the year 2030.
Whitfest: The Whitman Open

After the morning's inspiration, Whitman students head to the course — Flaum Grand Hall transforms into a 9-hole mini golf experience unlike anything Whitman has ever done. Students are invited to fuel up at the lunch spread and ice cream bar, sip a signature mocktail, grab swag and compete in the first-ever Whitman Open.
