Summer Supply Chain Management Certification Academy

 

This program was funded through the H.H. Franklin Center for Supply Chain Management.

 

This summer, the Whitman School of Management will be offering three supply chain management certification courses (non-credit). Certifications can allow you to make more money within the industry and differentiate you from other job candidates for a potential supply chain job opening. The three certification courses are:


ASCM – CPIM Certification


Cost: Whitman Students - $50 (discount code - WSMEXEC50) / Students from other Schools & Alums - $350 
Dates: June 2, 9, 16, 23 & 30th – Tuesdays
Time: 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. – Via Zoom

Association of Supply Chain Management (ASCM) – Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) Certification

 

The Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) covers strategies related to demand management, procurement, material and supplier planning, capacity planning, production planning, forecasting, master scheduling, sales, quality, and continuous improvement (prerequisite – SCM 411 or MBC 635 or by instructor’s permission).

Instructor – Dr. Patrick Penfield – CFPIM (Certified Fellow in Production and Inventory Management)


PMI – CAPM Certification


Cost: Whitman Students - $50 (discount code - WSMEXEC50) / Students from other Schools & Alums - $350
Dates: June 4, 11, 18, 25, & July 2 – Thursdays
Time: 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. – Via Zoom

Project Management Institute (PMI) – Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)

 

The Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) is an entry-level professional certification offered by the Project Management Institute (PMI). The CAPM is designed for students, recent graduates, and individuals new to project management who want to demonstrate a foundational understanding of industry standards and terminology (prerequisite – SCM 456 or SCM 656 or by instructor’s permission).

ISM – APSM Certification

Dates: July 7, 14, 21, 28, & August 4th  –  Tuesdays

Institute for Supply Management (ISM) – Associate Professional in Supply Management (APSM) Certification 
The Associate Professional in Supply Management® (APSM®) certification is your entry point into the sourcing and purchasing profession. Designed for individuals starting in sourcing, the APSM helps you build foundational knowledge, gain credibility, speak the language of the profession, and stand out in a competitive job market (prerequisite – SCM 432 or MBC 635 or SCM 732 or by instructor’s permission).
