Spring Course:
Orange Business Angel Network (EEE 400/600)

 

What is it? Ever wondered how investors decide which startups to fund? In this course, you'll step into the shoes of real angel investors and entrepreneurs. You'll learn how to evaluate early-stage companies, conduct due diligence on actual startups, and work directly with Syracuse University-affiliated angel investors and entrepreneurs. The semester will culminate with a live pitch event that you’ve organized where founders will present to real investors from the network.

  • Instructor: Jeff Gish (incoming faculty member)
  • Meeting Time: Wednesdays, 5:15-8:00 PM (in-person)
  • Course Numbers: EEE 400 (undergraduate) / EEE 600 (graduate)
  • Enrollment: Limited to approximately 15 students
  • Eligibility: Junior, senior, and graduate students only

Who Should Apply?
  • Undergraduates (Jr/Sr): Preferred prerequisites include either both EEE 370 AND EEE 451, OR EEE 457 (Capstone)
  • Graduate students: Preferred prerequisite is EEE 620
