Nass Family Business and Mental Health Initiative

The Nass Family Business and Mental Health Initiative at Syracuse University’s Martin J. Whitman School of Management is a pioneering program designed to equip business students with the tools, awareness, and resilience needed to thrive in high-pressure professional environments. Established through a generous $500,000 gift from alumni David ’91 and Dina Nass ’91, the initiative addresses the critical intersection of mental health and business education.

Recognizing the unique challenges faced by future business leaders—such as stress, burnout, and work-life imbalance—the program offers a holistic approach to student development. By fostering a culture of openness and support, the program aims to destigmatize mental health issues and prepare students not just for career success—but for a fulfilling life.
