The Ballentine Investment Institute

The Ballentine Investment Institute was established in 1992 by an endowment by Whitman alumnus Steve Ballentine '83 B.S., president and chief executive officer of Ballentine Capital Management, Inc., an investment management firm he founded in 1989. The Ballentine Investment Institute offers sophisticated tools used by investment professionals as well as materials to support learning, research, and professional development. With a mission to offer the choice of unparalleled investment education to our students, the Ballentine Investment Institute provides access to state-of-the-art capabilities for company and market research. The institute houses the Orange Value Fund program, a $5.5 million hedge fund managed by our students..

The Olivia and Walter Kiebach Center For International Business Studies

The Olivia and Walter Kiebach Center for International Business Studies promotes international business expertise in the teaching, scholarship, and service of our faculty. The Kiebach Center also works to increase your appreciation, knowledge, and career development in international business.

James D. Kuhn Real Estate Center

The James D. Kuhn Real Estate Center was established in 2006 by an endowment from James D. Kuhn '70 B.S. and '72 MBA, president of Newmark Knight Frank, the fourth largest global real estate brokerage firm in the world. The Kuhn Real Estate Center provides the opportunity to integrate your education in finance with an exciting education in real estate. The skills needed to succeed within the real estate industry are now adapting to international networks, and the study of finance and real estate are merging to produce optimal results. With activities and scholarship from the Kuhn Real Estate Center, you will gain an understanding of how these two fields integrate, thereby becoming potential innovators in the field.
