Overview

This course is intended for the person who is interested in developing a portfolio of skills in general project management. Class discussions will be based on case situations and on articles from business and technical publications. The class will include hands-on work with cost estimation, project scheduling, resource allocation, and earned value analysis.


Session Objectives
  • Understanding the elements of successful project management.
  • The organization and planning necessary from requirements definition to project closure.
  • The process used to determine project scope, estimate costs and schedules, organize and staff a project, monitor project progress, and develop lessons learned from completed projects.

Project Managers, Materials Managers, Purchasing Managers, Senior Buyers, Supplier Quality Leaders, Production and Material Control Leaders, or anyone having responsibility or playing a significant role in managing or improving the company’s suppliers.
