Goodman IMPRESS
The Goodman IMPRESS Program is designed to provide all Whitman undergraduates with the skills and experiences employers seek, including leadership, communications, certifications, global context and industry exploration. All incoming students are placed in one of four “houses.” Within these houses, they experience healthy competition as they develop their extracurricular skills under the direction of four committed and excellent house masters who teach the introductory business course and serve as their first faculty mentor, along with outstanding sophomore/junior peer facilitators.
INTERNSHIPS
The Whitman School of Management believes that internships are a critical component of the student learning experience. Having an intern on-site allows professionals to positively impact the next generation entering the workplace. The thoughtful guidance that you provide will allow a student to grow professionally, explore their interests, and gain a robust skillset that will help them achieve the next step in their career.
WIRE INITIATIVE
The Whitman Industry Readiness & Excellence (WIRE) Initiative is an innovative program demonstrating Whitman’s commitment to preparing students for a world of accelerating change. The WIRE initiative helps to encourage students to pursue professional certifications from industry-recognized organizations. These certifications offer tangible support and augment our students’ skillsets and abilities—in other words, industry readiness or evidence of excellence in a particular domain.
