Fun, Surfing and Entrepreneurship in Costa Rica

By Maya Layton

March 11, 2025

On this day, we started with another surf lesson, and the waves were perfect! From there, we listened to our first speaker, Chris Ingram Brooke, a serial entrepreneur who had successfully exited his company and was able to create his dream hotel in Nosara.

He shared with vulnerability the moments that tested him and shaped the resilient experiences that not only helped him overcome significant challenges but also fostered the strength needed to bring his vision to life.

His story was eye-opening, offering a real glimpse into the reality of being an entrepreneur and the perseverance required to turn dreams into tangible projects.

After that inspiring conversation, we were off to explore the local market and interact with many different vendors, immersing ourselves in the vibrant culture.

We all shared a meal together at Al Chile, where we enjoyed amazing ceviche and tacos! In the evening, we learned to dance salsa and wrapped up the night with a refreshing dip in the pool.
