First Day of the 2024 Business in East Asia Study Abroad Program

By Ariel Haywood

Today, May 14, 2024, marked the first official day of the Business in East Asia study abroad program. Starting in Singapore, myself, and a handful of other students arrived early and started getting to know one another. I have developed new friendships with both students in the undergrad program and the graduate program.

Today, we were given the opportunity to take the subway in Singapore from our hotel (Hotel Mi Richor), to another hotel for our welcome dinner. The subway is so different from the ones I know. I come from New Jersey, so I've been used to how Newark Penn Station lacks cleanliness. The subway in Singapore is so clean and fast paced. The rides seemed so quiet, quick, efficient, and easy to navigate.

So far, I have been enjoying navigating Singapore and can't wait to update everyone on our company visits and activities.
