Orange Business Angel Network
OBAN is a an angel investing program that includes a course, where Whitman students learn how to evaluate early-stage companies, conduct due diligence on actual startups and work directly with Syracuse University-affiliated angel investors and entrepreneurs. OBAN will be where Syracuse innovation meets investment.

Provide students an authentic experiential learning opportunity that connects SU angel investors with early-stage Su affiliated startups.
Vision:
To create a leading angel network that benefits students, entrepreneurs, and the broader Syracuse University community.
Goals:
Support SU entrepreneurs, foster student and alumni engagement, and develop asustainable angel network.

Education
- Hands on experiential program integrated with academic course

- Organize pitch sessions (select times/year)

- Orange-affiliated early-stage companies in the U.S.
- Investors:
- Orange-affiliated, SEC accredited investors
- Supportive angels who will act as mentors to students and founders
- Deal Structure:
- Seed round investments (<$10M valuation, raised <$2M)
- Negotiated between angels and founders
- SU does not take ownership position
