The interaction of Whitman students with accomplished professionals significantly enhances their ability to explore majors and industries, prepare for careers, and secure internships and full-time positions after graduation. There are myriad ways alumni can give back and engage with students both on and off campus, in person and virtually:
- Speaking to classes and clubs
- Mentoring
- Serving on major and industry panels
- Sharing internship and job openings in your organization
- Coordinating site visits to your firm during career trips
- Attending networking events
- Reviewing resumes
- Student shadowing
- Conducting mock interviews
- Hosting alumni office hours and career chats
- Serving on an advisory council or department board
