At first glance, my eyes jumped to the most popular majors at Whitman, I got to talk to a lot of peers about their majors and their choices through joining the business fraternity. I realized that although business analytics was a newer major, it was growing really quickly, and there were growing opportunities for courses within the major.

As a sophomore, I am still early on in my college career and do not have experience in a corporate setting yet. Attending these visits and presentations provided me with valuable insights into the workings of international business operations and cross-cultural interactions. I am confident that this experience will serve as an asset, as I am able to offer a global perspective to any future role I work in.

Retail Management and Advertising

My favorite class by far was Family and Gender in Contemporary Italy with Professor (Carla) Fronteddu. I enjoyed this class so much because it touched on very important and relevant topics in Italy, while also explaining the history that made the country what it is today. The topics ranged from violence against women to gender roles in Fascist Italy to reproductive rights.
