D'Aniello Internships

The D'Aniello Entrepreneurial Internship Program is an experiential learning initiative that provides unique entrepreneurial opportunities for highly qualified undergraduate and graduate students. We're always seeking entrepreneurial students to apply for this program and host companies (startups and small businesses) that are looking to bring on a high-level student consultant for a semester.

Being selected as a D'Aniello intern is both an honor and a challenge, as interns participate in exciting, experience-based learning opportunities in entrepreneurial work environments. Because the host company sites change each semester, all projects are different. This is an excellent opportunity to get experience with startups/small businesses. They are working on projects to support business development and growth in an experiential learning environment.

Student Eligibility Requirements

If you’re a junior, senior or graduate student in good academic standing enrolled at Syracuse University, and you are eligible to apply to the program. You must have a strong GPA, evidence of extracurricular involvement and an interest in entrepreneurship. D'Aniello intern candidates are required to enroll for independent study/experiential learning credit and to work 120 hours throughout the semester (an average of 10 to 12 hours per week during a semester).

As a D’Aniello intern, you’ll work directly with an entrepreneur, president or senior executive in a high-growth, innovative company located in the greater-Syracuse metropolitan area (Note: some internships will offer a remote-based option). Each semester, up to eight students are selected for this internship program.

Apply as a Student Intern

Students interested in becoming D'Aniello interns must complete an application and provide a professional resume to be reviewed to move forward to the interview process. Students should be interested in pursuing entrepreneurship in the future and be eager to support their host company site supervisor on various business development projects and deliverables agreed upon during the first week of the semester.

Each semester applications can be found for the various D’Aniello opportunities on Handshake.

The D'Aniello Entrepreneurial Internship program is supported by Daniel A. D'Aniello '68 B.S., founding partner and managing director of The Carlyle Group.
