Dr. Fatma Sonmez-Leopold is an award-winning Associate Teaching Professor of Finance known for her distinguished academic background and extensive teaching experience. She teaches a variety of courses, including Investments, Fixed Income Securities, Principles of Finance, and Finance for Non-Finance Managers.
In 2020, Dr. Sonmez-Leopold was honored as one of the "Best Undergraduate Business Professors" by Poets & Quants. She earned degrees in Mathematics and Engineering, double majoring in both fields, and holds a Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Toronto with her Ph.D. thesis in empirical asset pricing field.
Dr. Sonmez-Leopold’s teaching expertise and unwavering dedication to student success have garnered widespread recognition, solidifying her reputation as a leading educator in finance.
