Full-time MBA Overview/FAQs
The full-time MBA program is traditionally completed in two academic years with the summer between the first and second year spent dedicated to completing an internship. Does this program require prerequisite courses?
No, the Syracuse MBA program does not require applicants to take prerequisite courses.
Can I apply if I don't have an undergrad degree/background in business?
Yes, approximately 70% of our students come from a non-business background.
Does the full-time Syracuse MBA Program offer spring admission?
No, we only offer fall admission.
How many credits can I transfer?
Students are eligible to transfer up to six credits if the following requirements are met; these credits will only be counted towards electives if admitted into the program upon review:
1. Courses are at the graduate level with a grade of “B” or higher
2. Courses were taken at an AACSB-accredited business institution
Does this program require work experience?
We prefer applicants to have at least two years of full-time professional work experience. However, we do admit a small number of applicants without this length of experience; these candidates exhibited strong leadership in their undergraduate institution.
If I provide my academic credentials (GPA, GMAT or GRE, resume) can you tell me my chances of being awarded admission into the program?

Did you receive my scores and transcripts?
At Syracuse University, we will not be able to check for any of your supplemental materials until we have received your application from the Graduate Enrollment Processing Center. You will receive an email from Whitman with your application status as
soon as your application arrives at our Admissions Office.
When will my application be reviewed?
We review applications as soon as we have received all the required application materials. Please view the “application checklist” to make sure you have submitted all the needed components.

I forgot to upload a document to my application.
You can e-mail the document as an attachment to grad@syr.edu. Be sure to list your full name, the program you applied for, and your SUID number if you have one.
Can I submit unofficial transcripts when I apply?
Yes, you can submit unofficial transcripts during the application process. If admitted and enrolled, you must submit official transcripts in a sealed envelope before the end of your first semester of study at Syracuse University.
