- An additional degree, differentiating you from other College of Law candidates.
- Access to additional student support staff: Career and academic advisors in both schools.
General Information
The College of Law is the primary school for students enrolled in a joint degree program at Syracuse University. Students must complete their first year of law school and earn a cumulative 2.9 GPA to be approved and matriculate into their
selected joint degree program.
For a joint degree in business administration, you will earn 72 law credits plus 42 approved MBA credits. Both programs must be completed within four years. Students seeking dual degrees must apply to both programs separately, and admission to the College of Law does not guarantee admission to the Whitman School MBA program.
“Choosing to do the dual J.D./MBA program was a great choice for me. It allowed me the advantage of having business knowledge in my career as an attorney. I will be able to understand situations from an entirely different perspective and will be able to provide better and more services to my clients."
- Laura Daniels, J.D./MBA ’19
