MBA Specializations
The full-time MBA program's curriculum is founded on strong analytical and decision-making skills, a high degree of flexibility in tailoring a program and specialization that is right for you, and practical theory through experiential learning and real-world applications. Our full-time MBA is a 54-credit hour program with 36 core course credits and 18 elective credits completed over a span of two years. Our online MBA program also offers specializations in accounting, business analytics, entrepreneurship, finance, marketing management and supply chain management.
Professional Accounting
The accounting specialization prepares MBA students for a career in such fields as auditing, taxation and consulting. Recent changes in corporate governance have made the field of accounting more critical now than ever before. The study of accounting establishes the foundation necessary to evaluate strategic and operational decisions. You will gain access to alumni and corporate partners to establish proficiency in accounting theory and its application to the needs of any business.
Business Analytics
The business analytics specialization prepares MBA students for an analytical career in the fields of accounting, finance, marketing, and supply chain management through techniques in data collection, data visualization, statistical and pattern analysis and data mining. Business analytics experts rely on pattern analysis in data to develop marketing and pricing strategies, detect accounting fraud, optimize supply chain operations and minimize risk, while optimizing profit in financial portfolios. You will gain experience in the use of hands-on tools for analysis and the development of data-driven business strategies. Business analytics is one of the fastest growing areas of opportunity for MBA students.

Finance
The MBA finance specialization prepares you for the financial services industry by offering balanced training in the theoretical and contemporary issues financial managers face. Entrepreneurship
The entrepreneurship specialization helps you develop tools to achieve success in several possible roles, such as the founder of a startup business, manager of a social venture, head of a family business or leader of entrepreneurial initiatives for an established business. Syracuse MBA students experience the interdisciplinary nature of entrepreneurship through customized course selections and a variety of experiential projects through Syracuse University’s extensive cross-campus entrepreneurial ecosystem, including Whitman's Falcone Center for Entrepreneurship and its Couri Hatchery student business incubator. Invaluable opportunities for practical learning include the Panasci Business Plan Competition and D'Aniello Entrepreneurial Internships.
Real Estate
In response to increasing requests from students to obtain greater depth of knowledge in real estate to enhance their graduate degrees, we are pleased to offer a concentration in real estate for our full-time MBA students and a specialization for students pursuing a master's degree in finance.
Marketing Management
The full-time MBA marketing management specialization will allow you to develop and exercise the concepts and skills necessary to understand and fulfill customer needs. You will learn how firms create value by utilizing customer insights, forge creative competitive strategies, build customer relationships, optimize lifetime customer value, create new products and implement targeted pricing, distribution and promotional plans.
The full-time MBA specialization focuses on brand/product management with a mix of core and diverse elective courses to build on your strengths and gain interdisciplinary competencies.

Supply Chain Management
The MBA supply chain management (SCM) specialization is a distinctive blend of coursework that helps you develop and hone the skills needed to manage global supply chains while working across functional areas. You will learn comprehensive skills in problem formulation and analytical techniques for managing business challenges. Information technologies, optimization techniques and the case method are used to evaluate how risks can be mitigated and strategies implemented in global supply chains.
The Whitman School enjoys the support of two endowed centers, the H.H. Franklin Center for Supply Chain Management and the Brethen Institute for Operations Management, both of which contribute to the education, research and training of our supply chain management students. In addition, the MBA/SCM program boasts opportunities to compete in national supply chain management case competitions and participate in the APICS student organization.
