The Syracuse University Campus

Chartered in 1870, Syracuse University is a private, co-educational, urban institution located in the heart of Central New York. The 270-acre main campus is within easy driving distance of Toronto, Boston, Montreal and New York City. Athletics and Student Activities
With more than 50 registered student clubs and organizations, there is something for everyone. The campus is also home to three athletic facilities, including Archbold and Flanagan Gymnasiums and the Women's Building, which house a variety of athletic equipment, two full-length swimming pools, aerobic classes and dance studios. Students can also participate in more than 20 different intramural sports offered during both semesters. With multiple nationally ranked Division I sports teams, Syracuse University is consistently ranked among the best in school spirit. The iconic JMA Wireless Dome is conveniently located directly on the campus. Student tickets are offered at a discount.
Marshall Street
Located next to campus with more than 20 restaurants, Marshall Street is a great location for grabbing a bite to eat between classes. It is also the perfect place to buy official University apparel to show off your school spirit. With a variety of shops and boutiques, Marshall Street is a corridor of activity.
Tobacco Free Campus
To help ensure a healthy, productive, respectful environment in which to work, learn and live, Syracuse University is committed to providing a smoke- and tobacco-free campus. In accordance with the Clean Indoor Air Act, smoking and the use of all tobacco products are prohibited on property owned, operated or controlled by the University, indoors and out, except as noted below.
