Employment Offer Guidelines

To allow full consideration by candidates of job and internship opportunities without undue pressure, while also allowing you to meet your projected hiring needs, the Whitman School recommends the following guidelines for candidate offer response deadlines.

 

Fall Semester Recruiting


Minimum of three weeks between when you make the offer (with total compensation and benefits details, as applicable) and the deadline for a response from the candidate, no earlier than November 1.

 

Spring Semester Recruiting


Minimum of three weeks between when you make the offer (with total compensation and benefits details, as applicable) and the deadline for a response from the candidate, no earlier than April 1.

 

NACE Guidelines


We abide by the Principles for Employment Professionals of the National Association of College and Employers (NACE) for all full-time or internship offers to students.

 

Salary Information

We gather data on salary and employment for both full-time and internship offers. We appreciate your cooperation in keeping us informed of your hiring decisions.
