Employment Offer Guidelines

We are grateful for your partnership in connecting our students with meaningful career opportunities. To help candidates give each offer the thoughtful consideration it deserves, while also supporting your hiring timelines, the Whitman School of Management recommends the following guidelines.

Offer Response Timelines

Recruitment cycles vary widely across industries and organizations, and we respect that your hiring process may look different from others. We ask that candidates be given reasonable time to evaluate an offer fully, including compensation and benefits details, before a response is required.

If a student needs additional time to consider an offer, we encourage them to reach out to you directly to request an extension. We appreciate your willingness to work with them when circumstances allow.

NACE Guidelines

We abide by the Principles for Employment Professionals of the National Association of College and Employers (NACE) for all full-time or internship offers to students.

Hiring Outcomes

Understanding where our students land after graduation, and how they are compensated, helps us better serve both students and employers. We collect hiring outcome data directly from students for full-time positions and internships, including offer details, compensation, and role information. This input directly shapes how we advise students and how we communicate the value of a Whitman degree to the broader employer community.

We welcome and appreciate any additional support employers can provide in keeping us informed of hiring decisions. If you have questions about sharing outcomes data, please contact us.
