Brshna Sultan '25 credits Syracuse University’s Whitman School of Management for playing a pivotal role in securing her internship and shaping her academic journey. Originally from Uzbekistan, Sultan moved to Virginia in 2007. 

"Choosing Syracuse was one of the best decisions I've made. Whitman’s strong programs and supportive environment have been instrumental in my professional development," she says. 

At Whitman, Sultan has thrived academically and personally. Sultan highlights the guidance and support she received from many professors, whose courses and mentorship have been invaluable.  

"I’ve had the privilege of learning from Professor Julie Niederhoff in two of my courses," Sultan explains. "Her mentorship has not only enriched my academic experience but also helped me secure opportunities like my current role as a global operations supply chain intern with Capri Holdings Limited."  

Under the mentorship of Patricia Gabriel, senior vice president/chief of supply chain at Capri Holdings Limited, Sultan is gaining hands-on experience in analytical and supply chain management.  

"My internship involves creating an executive-level dashboard using KPI metrics to streamline information for the company," Sultan says. "The skills and knowledge I’ve gained from Whitman’s rigorous coursework have directly prepared me for this role.”  

Reflecting on her journey at Whitman, Sultan emphasizes the interdisciplinary nature of her education and the practical application of her studies in real-world settings.  

"Whitman’s strong alumni network and academic reputation have opened doors for me. They provided the foundation and connections necessary to secure valuable internships and build a successful career,” she says. 

As Sultan approaches her final year at Syracuse University, she looks forward to leveraging her experiences and skills gained at Whitman to pursue a rewarding career path in global operations and supply chain management.  

"I am grateful for the opportunities, mentorship, and lifelong connections I’ve gained here and I’m excited to see where my journey leads after graduation," she says.
