Meeting Your Advisor

There are two ways you can meet your career advisor, through a drop-in meeting or a scheduled appointment.

Drop-ins take place weekly and are held on Mondays from 1 pm-4 pm and Thursdays from 9 am to noon. Students are seen on a first-come first served basis and sessions are limited to 15 minutes.

Appointments are 30 minutes and are offered at a variety of times based on advisor availability.

Preparing for your Appointment

All students should bring their updated resumes to every meeting.  It is also helpful if students bring written questions and specific details as to their efforts thus far. For example, if students are seeking assistance with the internship search, they should be ready to speak about what efforts they have put forth up until that point.  If the student has created a spreadsheet of where they have applied, it would be suggested to bring that to the discussion.  Any preparation in advance will assist with maximizing the student's time with their career advisor, allowing for a productive meeting.
