Not everyone has to take the traditional public accounting route, but you have to be smart about your career moves... It’s going to be a ride, and it won’t always be linear, so always look two steps ahead to see if the path you’re on will take you where you want to be.

My internship involves creating an executive-level dashboard using KPI metrics to streamline information for the company. The skills and knowledge I’ve gained from Whitman’s rigorous coursework have directly prepared me for this role.

I can’t emphasize enough how helpful the Whitman Career Center and the Blackstone Launchpad have been with creating and growing Fight Like a Girl and helping me develop as a business leader. (Abdul-Qadir is an entrepreneur major).

For my side projects, I plan to use some of the entrepreneurship knowledge I've gained at Whitman to better understand finances, marketing and growth tactics to grow my personal brand and app revenue.
