Six Sigma Certification
The Whitman School has been offering an online Six Sigma class for more than 10 years. During this timeframe, we have saved companies more than $20 million. In our program, a Master Black Belt works with you throughout the class. This class is offered via Zoom and you are required to work on a project or simulation throughout the course. Upon completion of the class, you will receive a Six Sigma certificate from the Whitman School.

Major Learning Objectives
Green Belt
- Allow students to gain a practical understanding of Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologies
- Apply those tools and methodologies to complete a Lean Six Sigma project
- Enable students to achieve proficiency in the Lean Six Sigma tools in order to pass the Syracuse University or ASQ Green Belt exam
- Allow students to be certified as a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
- Enable students to apply the practical Six Sigma tools and methodologies in their current and future careers
Black Belt
- Allow students to gain a practical understanding of Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologies
- Apply those tools and methodologies to complete a Lean Six Sigma project
- Enable students to gain proficiency in the Lean Six Sigma tools in order to pass the Syracuse University or ASQ Black Belt exam
- Allow students to be certified as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt
- Enable students to apply the practical Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologies in their current and future careers
Professional
Designation
The CSixSigma Green Belt or Black Belt designation is used to distinguish professionals who have met or exceeded all of the requirements of the Certificate in Six Sigma program set forth by Syracuse University (see below). Individuals who successfully complete this program will receive a Six Sigma certificate from the University and will be entitled to use the CSixSigma Green Belt or Black Belt Syracuse University designation to demonstrate expertise in Six Sigma, along with a comprehension of many techniques that improve Six Sigma outcomes.
The CSixSigma Green Belt or Black Belt Syracuse University Designation Standards
- Completed the Six Sigma course from the Whitman School or attended a 40-hour Six Sigma course from an accredited university/college or approved training center
- Completed a Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt project or simulation
- Passed a 100-question exam on Six Sigma.
